A coin for a thought

The 13th of December was held our last GNCT session for the 1st year.That day we had an interesting session.First the  coin was collected by Miss.Sarasi .After that all coins  were put in to a purse. Then the purse was rotated through the class and the moment where Miss.Sarasi tapped the table,who the person with the purse had to take a coin out and he  or she had to speak about hi's memories related to the year of the coin.

This session was very awesome. Our colleagues were bringing out  some funny and interesting memories happened to them in the respective years.But this session I did not get a chance.

Therefor this session was very interesting session for all of us.
pankajan's coin had made in 2013 So pankajan have to face that incident in 2013.During this game we can get know some of my friends interesting point of their life and some friends speech become very sad .The sad speech that present in the session is pankajan's speech . That was like the film about love.

Finally I thanks to our lecturer Mr. SARASI SENADERA  because she teach us to lot of  soft skills in this year, so we were able to correct some weakeness .

CULTURE

we had GNCT lecture on last Thursday and we done the new activity that day.New activity is, we create new culture. This activity  is a very  funny activity. As well as that is creativity, planning and teamwork.Actually it is not a game,it is kind a act.The teacher asked us to think as we are in an island which we have a own language which is differ than existing languages and we have an own culture and as well as a dance.And also we have our own theme song as well.So we thought of language that we will speak, and the name of our Island was "Hooba lanthaya". And the language was huba huba language.

After that teacher asked us to act it in front of the class.So went to front and started to speak in huba huba language.That went well and we started to sing in that language as well.That was really an interested thing.We had a unique dancing way as well.But not the culture . so we had'n had a strategy for act our unique cultural activity.So we failed at tat point.

LEADERSHIP

On 29th of November,We had an interesting session on Leadership. In this session We learned different types of leaders in world  and their qualities.We learned leadership qualities that we should improve in our lives and some life  stories of true leaders  who live and who had lived in the world.

 In this  session we identified several world famous leaders and their skills.

2).Steve jobs

3). Nelson Mandela

Nelson Rolihlahla Mandela was a South African anti-apartheid revolutionary, political leader, and philanthropist who served as President of South Africa from 1994 to 1999

1).Deshabandu Susanthika Jayasinghe 

Deshabandu Susanthika is a Sri Lankan sprint athlete specializing in the 100 and 200 metrres.

2). Arjuna Ranathungha.

Deshamanya Arjuna Ranatunga is a former Sri Lankan cricketer and 1996 Cricket World Cup winning captain for SriLanka.

3).Otara Gunewardene

Otara Gunewardene is a Sri Lankan entrepreneur, philanthropist, designer and fashion icon.The founder of Sri Lanka’s premier fashion and lifestyle store Odel, a brand that took Sri Lanka by storm offering designer and high street fashion for men.

How ever end of the lecture we learned lot of things about leadership

Future goals for next 10 years

            we had GNCT lecture on last Thursday and we done the presentation about my future goals for next 10 year.My future goals can divided like this.

 Education goals

• Finish my degree successfully in 2022
• Start a o/l  maths class for o/l students.
• Start my MSC degree.

personal goals

• Build a beautiful house.
• Go to aboard for my leisure time.
• Buy a cbr bike.
• Get married 

Family goals

• Look after my parents and my sister.
• Go abroad with my family.
• Enjoy my life with my family.

Career

• Build a new software in my own works.
• Get new experience about my field .
• Join a best software company and work with them.
• Get a good salary.

Physical goals 

• Do exercises daily
• Build my body beautifully.

Standing on the paper

we had GNCT lecture on last Thursday. We done the new games that day.New game is a standing on the paper. This game is a very friendly and funny game. As well as that is creativity, planning and teamwork.

          

      firstly all students divided the five group and one news paper is given the each group. There are eight members in one group and  girls and six boys in my group, As well as This game is playing during the time and give the some rule.The main rule is we can't put the leg outside in the paper and we all can standing in a one leg on the paper.
        we do this game three times and remove the team one by one. because paper is teared in some team. Firstly use full news paper and secondly use half of news paper and after use quarter of news paper.

We can improve some quilities by this game such as

• Good team work experience
• Imagination
• How to share idea with others
• Time managment.

        

Lava River

we had GNCT lecture on last Thursday and we done the new game that day.New game is a lava river. As well as that is creativity, planning. That game was good teamwork

 First our madam gave rule of this game , how we should do this activity. In this game we have to cross a lava river using four stone. We have to go from one bank to the other bank of the river using four stones. All 4 stones should have the human touch through out the process. If it lose human touch we will lose the stone and we have to cross the river with the remaining stones. And if someone step on the lava, that group have to start from the beginning. And only 3 times we can step on lava.

Bata Puzzle

 we had GNCT lecture on last Thursday and we done the new game that day.New game is a Bata puzzle game.This game is a very nice game . As well as that is creativity  and teamwork.

For this work we were  divided into 5 groups by our madam. Our group was group 3. Madam called two people from each group and gave them a board to cut into 95 pieces. One student cut it and other student count the pieces and put them in to an envelop. This process was done by all 5 groups. 

      After cutting the board in to 95 pieces madam took 10 pieces from each group and mixed those pieces with other groups pieces. Our group also had 10 pieces from other group. Then  madam gave us our envelops which included 85 pieces from the board we cut and 10 pieces from other group. And our task is to complete the picture in the board. 
           First we had to get our 10 pieces which were mixed with other groups' pieces. After we made the our puzzle.But we can't make full puzzle. Because we can't find all the pieces.

                                                     EGG COVER

 

         we had GNCT lecture on last Thursday and we done the two mes that day.one game is Egg cover game among these game .Egg cover Game is a nice game and funny game. As well as that is creativity, planning and teamwork. we want  egg ,paper and sellotape for one team. we bring the egg and other thing supply by our lecture.

 first our class divided the five group and one egg ,four paper, and  one sellotape are given the one group. There are 6 members in one group and three girls and three boys in my group, As well as This game is playing during the time. Our lecture gave the 30 minute for  one team. The main purpose of this game is protect the Egg.

   So first we cut the paper and create it like a cone. After we fill the cone paper and we create four cone like this . After this cone  setup around the egg using the sellotape like a picture. finally we name it as a egg stare.

Finally our five group made five egg cover like this. After our lecture throw the all the egg cover and check the egg. Then egg of one team was broken and other egg  were protected. As well as one student of one group go forward and explain their egg cover .

 

We can improve some abilities by this game such as

•    how to share idea with others.
•     Imagination

And we must thank our madam Ms. Sarasi for organizing this workshop for us.
